About Tsutomu
Tsutomu Johnson is the founder of the Broad Axe, where he helps clients develop, manage, and update their privacy programs. Formerly, he was the CEO of Parsons Behle Lab. In that capacity, he developed software automating legal documentation and processes. He also co-created GDPRIQ and CCPAIQ, applications that help organizations automate their GDPR and CCPA compliance documents.
He also served as the Senior Vice President of Privacy for an organization with 200,000 employees in 76 countries. He brings that insight to his interactions with clients. He understands privacy on a global, national, and state level and helps his clients navigate the maze of privacy law while containing costs with flat-fee billing arrangements.
He was one of Utah Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40 in 2020, former president of Utah’s Cyberlaw section of the bar, and Utah Minority Bar Association’s Outside Counsel of the Year in 2020.
