About John
Before joining Tanner, John Pohlman spent the previous five years of his career leading and growing a local IT company, where he developed a passion for business management and growth with a specific interest in Network Security. He is an expert and frequent speaker on IT controls and network security topics at meetings for numerous professional organizations and business groups. John has overseen hundreds of IT risk assessments (CMMC, NIST CSF, HIPAA, PCI, ISO), penetration tests (network and web application), and social engineering tests for the past 15 years and has experience working with various businesses.
He has worked with clients such as Salt Lake Community College, Southwest Technical College, 4Life Research, TrueHearing, Adobe, Young Living, Xirect, Layton Construction, Utah Community Credit Union, and Easton Products.
John Pohlman received his Master of Business Administration Summa Cum Laude from Westminster University in 2011 and continues to participate on boards with the college.
